Have a worm count

This is not the same as make a wormery. You beat the ground by either stamping on it or by banging another heavy object onto it. The idea is that the worms come out then you count them simple? If no worms come out put a bit of water on the ground you are stamping on. If no worms still come out try another boredom busting idea. When you have counted the worms you could make them into a wormery. In the wormery you can have a couple but not 20 crammed into a jam jar. Feed thm leaves and put some small air holes in the lid of the tin. Big air holes can lead to escape. Also put some mud in the jar and don't leave them in too long. Safety First
Make sure that children aren't beating the ground with spades, forks or any sharp object that could hurt their feet. Heavy objects can also be dangerous so make sure kids don't  drop any on their feet
